The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug prescribed are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs that help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted people. SAMSHA certified opioid treatment programs in Moscow are programs which are legally permitted to distribute the drugs used in MAT as long as they remain certified and always maintain the necessary requirements.
