The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
