The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are centers who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction.
