The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Drug prescribed are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid dependent clients. SAMSHA certified opioid rehab programs in Ensign are programs which are legally permitted to distribute the medicines used in MAT being they remain certified and continue to meet certain requirements. A requirement that MAT clients must also receive ancillary services aside from medicine such as psychotherapy, behavioral therapy or counseling.
