The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Drug prescribed are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid dependent clients.
