The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to advance the mental health of the United States. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid treatment facilities, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction.
