The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to promote the mental health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid treatment programs, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
