Drug and Alcohol Education is an essential tool used at rehabs treating DWI clients. There are different levels of alcohol education classes and this can vary by state. Level I education classes typically consist of 12 hours of education about the effects of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a single conviction or someone under the age of 21 will often be required to do. Level II courses would include both substance abuse education and therapy at a program which is approved by the courts.
