The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Drug administered are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted individuals.
