The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid treatment programs, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction.
