Regular out-patient rehabilitation is mostly a less costly choice to more intensive outpatient options or inpatient rehab, and is the least intense of formal alcohol or drug rehab around in Park. Some people are attending rehab for their first time and have picked regular outpatient because that is all they can afford and time commitment and logistically because of school, work or other obligations. In some cases, regular outpatient is a "step-down" from rehab in a more intense outpatient program like a partial hospitalization or inpatient program.
Regular outpatient recovery services include individual and group counseling services occurring once or twice a week. Programs which include a more diverse array of services may include psychotherapies (behavioral therapy) to help with relapse prevention and dual diagnosis services to help respond to co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders. The length of time someone remains in rehab can vary, and a client's progress can be assessed from time to time and an extension of treatment can be recommended based on these findings.
In many cases, a regular outpatient treatment program may be insufficient in intensity for a client who is attempting to address a chronic drug and alcohol problem and has never experienced recovery previously or has fallen off the wagon following prior outpatient treatment.
