The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid rehab programs, which are programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Medicine administered are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs that stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted people.
