Substance abuse facilities for Military Vets are crucial for the mental health and overall stability of Vets of all branches of the military. Because drug and alcohol abuse and other mental health problems are experienced at above average rates among Veterans, it is important that Veterans get the assistance they need due to such high rates of suicide also associated with these disorders among our Vets.
Substance abuse programs for Vets in Rock are available from the VA, with included services such as programs to address associated disorders such as relationship problems, irritability, disturbed sleep, pain, depression, and/or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) which most commonly trigger addiction disorders among Veterans. Treatment for addiction and associated disorders among Military Vets includes psychotherapies and group and individual therapy that can increase an individual's desire to change. Involvement in other support such as AA and other support groups is encouraged. Medications are also available in some circumstances to help Military Vets decrease their drug, alcohol and tobacco use.
