The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to advance the mental health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
