The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to advance the mental health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid rehab programs, which are programs that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Drug administered are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted individuals.
