The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to advance the mental health of the nation. One of its obligations is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
