Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient alcohol and drug rehabilitation program which is less than intensive outpatient and more intensive than regular outpatient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also tailored to individuals who may need intensive rehabilitation for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not need 24 hour intervention and treatment. For a client who has completed inpatient rehab, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Gilliam could help them make the transition more easily into a drug-free way of life as a "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then transition over to regular out-patient care.
When a person is in a partial hospitalization day treatment center, they typically take part in services anywhere from 3-5 days per week. It is very much like an inpatient program in many important ways, including the fact that individuals will have access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can address the psychological, emotional, and physical challenges they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hours on the days that people participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive personalized addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, get any necessary medical care and deal with any of the mental health symptoms that are triggering their drug and alcohol addiction.
