The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the nation. One of its duties is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Drug given are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted clients. SAMSHA certified opioid rehab programs in Ida are programs which are legally permitted to distribute the drugs used in MAT being they maintain their certification and always maintain the necessary requirements. Once an opioid rehabilitation center is approved to operate, it must be re-certified every year or every three years contingent upon the type of certification that was given.
