The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to promote the mental health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are centers which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
