Someone taking this version of the drug, AKA Suboxone, would find it harder to get high from opioids if they relapsed while taking the drug. It too is taken on a daily basis, and costs approximately $450 a month. Naltrexone is an additional med used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs mentioned here it's an opiate blocker and is not an opiate. There is an option to take this medication as a monthly shot, which is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, it prevents someone from experience being high from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs anywhere from $1000 to $1200 a month.
