The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to advance the mental health of the United States. One of its duties is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Drug administered are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent people.
