Military Insurance - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Programs - Pittsfield, MA.

The military currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retired military who are 60 years of age or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they go to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to non-military health care providers within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can pick a primary doctor and obtain referrals to organizations that provide specialty care.

By way of TRICARE, military members can receive drug and alcohol treatment services in Pittsfield. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other various rehab services. They will need pre-authorization for services and there are likely to be some restrictions. Military insurance pays for both outpatient and inpatient, but inpatient services for detox are restricted to 7 days.
