Access to Recovery Voucher - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs - Springfield, MA.
When someone in Springfield needs substance abuse treatment and doesn't have private health insurance or the money to pay for the rehab program in full, the Access to Recovery Voucher is an alternative to look into. ATR is a federally-funded program which makes it possible for qualified people to access addiction treatment programs and support including inpatient, regular outpatient, intensive outpatient, continuing care, counseling, recovery and life coaching, skills building, vocational training, and transportation assistance. The ATR grant program provides individuals with vouchers to acquire treatment and recovery support services for addiction disorders at the provider of their choice. To be eligible for ATR individuals must meet certain criteria, including: 1) must be 18 years or older, 2) have a history of substance use or abuse, 3) have a yearly income that is below 200% of the Federal poverty level, and 4) reside in the counties or jurisdictions that provide ATR.
Individuals interested in the Access to Recovery Voucher can contact ATR Service Coordinators in their area. If the person's original choice of program or facility isn't working out, they can work with their ATR coordinator to find one that best fits their needs and that accepts the ATR.
