There are both inpatient and outpatient drug treatment, but there are some types of outpatient drug treatment in Cascade to choose from. Regular outpatient care is minimally invasive and clients usually go to counseling and therapy a few times per week. Comprehensive outpatient rehabs offer counseling and therapy much like regular outpatient, but on a more intensive pace that also allows time for family and work life.
One outpatient drug treatment type referred to as Day Treatment or Partial Hospitalization is the most intensive form of outpatient rehab out there. Individuals can still return home or to a sober living facility every day, but will spend most of the day participating in outpatient rehab services. Day treatment and partial hospitalization outpatient drug and alcohol treatment is ideal for clients who have recently completed an inpatient program, but still need to maintain a robust support system while becoming more comfortable with living sober. These programs also usually offer a wider array of care that regular outpatient may not offer, including alternative therapies, medication management, and dual-diagnosis treatment.
It is common for clients in outpatient drug or alcohol rehab or after treatment in outpatient drug and alcohol rehab to have a relapse. In these cases inpatient treatment would ideally be the next step.
