The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the oversight of opioid treatment facilities, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
