Military Insurance - Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centers - Havre De Grace, MD.

The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, as well as any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to non-military health care professionals within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can pick a primary care physician and obtain referrals to health care services that provide specialty care.

By way of TRICARE, military members can obtain substance abuse rehabilitation services in Havre De Grace. This includes individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other substance abuse recovery services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some restrictions. Military insurance covers both inpatient and outpatient, but inpatient services for detox are restricted to 7 days. An inpatient or partial hospitalization following detox will only be authorized if it is an approved facility, and there are time limits as to how long military members will be permitted to remain in treatment.
