Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient addiction treatment program that is less than intensive outpatient and more intensive than normal out-patient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also tailored to individuals who may need intensive treatment for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not need twenty-four hour supervision and care. For a client who has finished inpatient rehab, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Liberty could help them make the transition more easily into a drug-free lifestyle as a viable "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the person could then transition over to regular outpatient care.
When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment center, they typically participate in services anywhere from 3-5 days a week. It is similar to an inpatient treatment program in many important ways, including the fact that individuals will have access tomental health professionals, physicians and nurses who can address the psychological, emotional, and physical challenges they are trying to conquer. For at least 4-6 hours on the days that people attend partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive personalized addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, receive any necessary medical care and address any of the mental health problems that trigger their drug addiction.
