DWI Clients - Drug and Alcohol Rehab Facilities - Mexico, ME.

DWI clients in treatment need to complete specific requirements to satisfy the terms of their court sentencing. Rehab facilities that help satisfy these demands and terms, which are usually more lenient than regular sentencing which would include large fines and jail time, are offered in Mexico to deliver educational services, therapy, and further assessment for severe alcohol or drug problems.

Education is a primary treatment tool used at rehabs treating DWI clients. There are a few different levels of alcohol education and this can differ by state. Level I education classes normally include 12 hours of education about the effects of alcohol and drugs. This is the what someone with a first offense or someone under 21 will often be required to complete. Level II classes would consist of both education and therapy at a court approved program. How long an individual will need to participate in therapy depends upon certain considerations, which can be, for example, how many DWI's the person has had, and the seriousness of the offense. Ordinarily, clients will be sentenced to the Level II DWI classes and therapy except for when their blood-alcohol content level was extremely low when they were arrested and there were no other significant charges when the individual was arrested.
