Because drug and alcohol abuse and other mental health problems are found at higher than average rates among Vets, it is important that they get the help they need because of such high rates of suicide also associated with these disorders with our Vets.
Alcohol and drug abuse programs for Vets in Portland are available through the VA, with services that include measures to address associated disorders such as relationship problems, irritability, disturbed sleep, pain, depression, and/or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) which most commonly trigger addiction disorders among Veterans.
