Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Facilities - Ann Arbor, MI.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health benefits for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For people that do have Medicare and require substance abuse rehabilitation in Ann Arbor, this program can pay for certain rehab programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the individual's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the costs for outpatient drug and alcohol rehab. This includes outpatient services, therapy, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for individuals who want supplemental coverage in addition to what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as those required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
