The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
