Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also tailored to people who need intensive treatment for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not require 24 hour supervision and care. For a person who has finished inpatient rehabilitation, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Rock could help them transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free way of life as a "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the person could then transition into regular out-patient treatment.

It is similar to an in-patient program in many important ways, including the fact that clients will get access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can deal with the psychological, emotional, and physical issues they are trying to conquer. For at least four to six hrs on the days that people attend partial hospitalization day treatment, they will receive personalized addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, receive any needed medical care and address any of the mental health symptoms that are triggering their drug and alcohol addiction.
