Naltrexone is an additional med taken in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other medications mentioned it's an opioid blocker and isn't an opiate. A person has the choice to take this drug as a monthly shot, which is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, it prevents a person from experience high feelings from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse.
