Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people that do have Medicare and require drug or alcohol rehab in Minnesota City, Medicare can cover certain treatment programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient addiction rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as medications used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
