The armed forces currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retired military who are 60 or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to civilian health care professionals within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can pick a primary care physician and obtain referrals to health care services that offer specialty care.
By way of TRICARE, military members can obtain drug and alcohol rehabilitation services in Hazlehurst. This includes individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other various substance abuse recovery services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some limitations. Military insurance covers both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detoxification are restricted to 7 days.
