Naltrexone is an additional medication taken in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs aforementioned it's an opioid blocker and isn't an opiate. As an opioid blocker, it prevents a person from getting high from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs anywhere from $1000 to $1200 monthly.
