Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centers - Charlotte, NC.

Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals who do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol recovery services in Charlotte, Medicare can pay for certain recovery programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various forms of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient substance treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the fees associated with outpatient substance abuse treatment. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for people who want supplemental coverage in addition to Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C can have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and medications used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
