The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to advance the mental health of the nation. One of its obligations is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
