Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Facilities - Raleigh, NC.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require drug or alcohol rehab in Raleigh, Medicare may pay for certain treatment programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different types of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the individual's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the costs for outpatient substance abuse rehab. Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for individuals who want supplemental coverage apart from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal and those used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
