Drug and alcohol treatment services are offered in a wide variety of formats, so there is definitely something for everyone in Todd. Treatment services can be offered in both an outpatient and inpatient basis, where outpatient services range from 1 or 2 days of treatment per week to intensive outpatient treatment which is available daily. Outpatient treatment services range from individual counseling and group counseling, to more advanced psychotherapies to modify behavior and motivate clients to stay sober.
Inpatient and residential treatment is offered to people who struggle with more complex histories of drug and alcohol abuse, spanning from 30 - 90 day programs. Some facilities offer what is called a Therapeutic Community model, where clients may stay up to a year in certain situations. The longer someone is involved in the recovery program and benefits from rehabilitation services and a distraction-free environment, the greater their chances of staying clean and sober and being able to do so without needing such a comprehensive system of support. Services at an inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab program are commonly more diversified and will include treatment for addiction but also other co-occurring mental health disorders. Aftercare and relapse prevention services are essential even after long-term rehab, and many centers encourage continued engagement in the program for several months until the individual has progressed into a drug free lifestyle.
