DWI Clients - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Programs - Regent, ND.

DWI clients in treatment need to complete specific requirements to satisfy the conditions of their court sentencing. Treatment facilities that help fulfill these requirements and conditions, which are typically more lenient than regular sentencing such as large fines and jail time, are available in Regent to deliver DWI classes, therapy, and further evaluation for clients with serious substance abuse problems.

Drug and Alcohol Education is a fundamental tool used at rehabs treating DWI clients. There are various levels of alcohol education and this can differ by state. Level I education generally consist of 12 hours of education related to the effects and dangers of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a single offense or someone under 21 will ordinarily be required to do. Level II DWI classes would consist of both substance abuse education and group therapy at a court approved program. How long a person will be required to remain in therapy depends on a few considerations, which can include the number of DWI's the person has had, and the seriousness of the offense. Most often clients will be sentenced to the Level II classes and therapy unless their blood-alcohol content level was very low when they were arrested and there were no other serious charges when the person was arrested.
