The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug prescribed are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent people.
