The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehab programs, which are programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Medications administered are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted people.
