The military currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they go to any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to non-military health care providers within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can select a primary doctor and obtain referrals to health care services that offer specialty care.
Through TRICARE, members of the military can receive substance abuse treatment services in Papillion. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other rehabilitation services. They will require pre-authorization for treatment and there are likely to be some limitations. Military insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient, but stays for detox are limited to 7 days.
