Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs - Columbus, NJ.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health benefits for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people that do have Medicare and need addiction rehab in Columbus, this program will cover certain treatment programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different forms of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the person's lifetime.

People who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
