At clinics which treat methadone and buprenorphine clients only, actual rehabilitation activities and therapies are generally limited beyond this and the primary treatment goal is to manage the physical symptoms of their dependence. Some centers do deliver a small amount of counseling and therapy as supplementary treatment, and it is recommended and encouraged.
