The military currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retired military who are 60 years of age or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, as well as any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which allows access to non-military health care providers within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can pick a primary care physician and obtain referrals to organizations that offer specialty care.
Through TRICARE, members of the military can obtain substance abuse rehabilitation services in Farmington. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other various recovery services. They will require pre-authorization for treatment and there are likely to be some limitations.
