There are 3 different kinds of mental health care, including residential, outpatient, and hospital inpatient. Some people who need help for a mental health problem might want an outpatient approach due to personal obligations or because of the stigma they'd like to avoid associated with their issue. Many clients can still have a normal school or work day and get outpatient mental health treatment with full discretion and privacy.
Outpatient mental health facilities are either found in community health centers, private offices, or hospitals in Denmark. The intensity of outpatient mental health treatment can be different from center to center, but can be from participation a few days a week to daily treatment. An outpatient mental health program will do a complete assessment of the individual's medical history, both physical and mental, which includes their prescription drug and illicit drug history. Psychological evaluation is also a standard process, and clinicians and physicians will design a course of care that may include group therapy, marriage or couples counseling, family therapy, individual psychotherapy, etc. If the individual requiring treatment also has a co-occurring disorder such as a drug addiction, many outpatient mental health centers are ready to handle such a dual diagnosis.
