Naltrexone is another drug taken in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other medications mentioned here it's an opiate blocker and isn't an opioid. There is an option to take this drug as a monthly injection, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, it prevents someone from feeling high from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 a month.
