The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Drug given are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid dependent individuals.
