The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid treatment programs, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
